The Rigzin Lineage

Abbreviated as “Rigzin Chenpo Lineage” or “Rigzin Lineage”.

Dharmakaya Samantabhadra→ Sambhogakaya Vajrasattva → Nirmanakaya Padmasambhava→ Yeshe Tsogyal → Namkhai Nyingpo→ Rigzin Tsewang Norbu. This above is the order of Tsewang Norbu’s terma lineage.

An alternative description of Tsewang Norbu’s teachings is that they originated from the long (kama) and terma transmissions of the Nyingma tradition, as well as that of the Jonang, Karma Kagyu, Shangpa Kagyu, Sakya and Gelug’s practices. Please refer to volume two of the complete works of Tsewang Norbu for more information regarding this. Indeed, starting from Tsewang Norbu, the teachings of his lineage is a continuous flow of both the kama and terma transmissions of all traditions, thus becoming Rime (non-sectarian). It is therefore correct to say that if one receives the full teachings of this Rigzin Chenpo’s lineage, one has already received the oral transmission of the teachings of all lineages.
