The Second Rigzin Tsewang Norbu

More than 300 years ago, the Venerable and Special Kathog Rigzin Chenpo Tsewang Norbu was born in Tibet and exalted the Dharma for nearly 60 years. The deeds of friendship are like the snow on the top of a snow-capped mountain, nourishing the Dharma veins of the Buddhas year after year, and there are many magical legends about how the master came to the world.

Jonang lineage: First

Sasangmadi Panchen Lama. 1294-1376, Dharma name Luozhu Jiancan, was born in Ngari. He was proficient in the five treatises of Maitreya at the age of four. He was a very famous scholar in Tibet. He was one of the fourteen disciples of Master Duoboba and one of the masters of Master Tsongkhapa. Five volumes of his works are still extant.

Gyetsun Genga Chodrup. 1420—, studied various sects of Tibetan Buddhism, promoted the ultimate emptiness of otherness and the Great Perfection, practiced the six preliminary practices of Kalachakra in seclusion for twelve years, achieved alchemy with the freedom of qi and mind, went to Shambhala Pure Land to receive the Dharma in his phantom body, lived to be about 130 years old, and his phantom body merged into the Kalachakra body. His famous disciples include Genga Chodrup and others.

Jonang lineage: Third

Prince Dingji, Dharma name Yeshe Gyatso. Born in Dingji royal family in 1585, the Supreme Master Doronata recognized him as the incarnation of Sasang Panchen Lama, held a throne ceremony for him, and also acknowledged him as another incarnation of himself. He studied sutras and theories in various schools of Tibetan Buddhism such as Sakya, Nyingma, and Gelug, and became very famous. He completed the three-year and three-month retreat of Kalachakra and achieved the ten-phase great freedom. His works include the Kalachakra initiation, the lecture notes on Heruka and the six teachings, and the interpretation of Mahayana and Madhyamika.
