One of the highest practices of Buddhism
The Inheritance and Teachings of Dzogchen

Rigzin Chenpo Rinpoche said: [The Great Perfection Ear-transmitted Vajra Bridge] is collected in [The Great Treasure Terma] and is called “Vajra Acharya’s Real Practice of All Dharmas”. It is a very important method in it! It is one of the three root methods for the master’s accomplishment. The practice of Vajrasattva was transmitted from afar. Jamgon Kongtrul Rinpoche mentioned that this is the mind accomplishment method of Rinchen (Chögyamtso II) Tsewang Norbu, which is the method revealed from the wisdom of the accomplished person.
The main deity in the realm of refuge is Guru Padmasambhava, with successive lineage masters directly above, Buddhas and Bodhisattvas on the upper right and left, and surrounding the front are various deities, warriors, dakinis and protectors.
There are two kinds of explanations of the Vajra Bridge: broad and brief. In a broad sense, it is a series of practices from the Śrāvakayāna to the Mahāyāna and Vajrayāna, from the conventional truth to the ultimate truth of emptiness, the method of reincarnation to Nirvana, and the practice of the three parts of Dzogchen together. The Vajra refers to emptiness, the eternal and unchanging emptiness without self.
Dzogchen is a Buddhist method that advocates the luminous emptiness, the teaching of Samantabhadra Tathagata, the highest Buddhist teaching, and the essence of the secret teachings. It covers everything, whether it is the teachings of the exoteric school or the esoteric school, so it is called Dzogchen. If it only includes part of the Buddhist teachings, it is not called Dzogchen. Although the text of Dzogchen does not contain all the teachings of the Three Vehicles, its spirit and content, the essence of all the scriptures are all in the Dzogchen method.
