Profile of Guru Bao

The full name of Guru Rigzin (Rigzin Chenpo) is Kathog Rigzin Chenpo Pema Wangqing.
The Thousand Treasures of Benevolence is the righteousness of the great enlightened one, which is the title of the great achiever of the four tantric attainments, and also has the meaning of the leader of the sect and the master of the teachings.
As a child, Guru Bao was recognized by the thirteen eminent Rinpoche as the reincarnation of Guru Rinpoche’s mind, the Void Tibetan Nankai Ningbo, the great teacher of the Thirteen Kingdoms and the great Mahasidd.
Since he was young, Master Rigzin Chenpo has been demonstrating the incredible enlightenment power of the Living Buddha, and he can easily understand the teachings and the five major and minor sciences.
As a mind terma master, he had already chanted countless termas and vajra songs from his meditation before he even started learning the Tibetan alphabet.
Kathog Rigzin Chenpo Rinpoche studied extensively the teachings of exoteric and esoteric Buddhism under the guidance of accomplished masters from various major sects of Tibetan Buddhism. He was confirmed by accomplished masters of various sects to have truly realized the profound principles of each sect. He is a teacher of the Rimei school (regardless of sect) who is proficient in exoteric and esoteric Buddhism, and he deserves the title.
1. Pure inheritance
Kathog Rigzin Chenpo Rinpoche’s lineage is pure. Apart from his own tradition, the methods he practices are also recognized by the traditions of other major Tibetan Buddhist sects as the holder and achiever of the Dharma lineage of each tradition.
Therefore, Kathog Rigzin Chenpo Rinpoche is not only the master of this lineage, but also the master of the terma Dharma of Guru Padmasambhava’s thirteen main deities, the All-Accomplished Tara, the Red Tara, the Vajra Bridge of Dzogchen, the Five Stages of Vajrasattva, and other methods; he is also the master and promoter of many lineages and methods, such as the three-faced, six-armed red Hayagriva taken from Master Kangcang, the blue-light blazing Buddha Mother (Vajrayogini) taken from Master Nianlong, the immortal White Tara of Pameningti, and the Vajrayogini.
2. Focus on Practical Practice
In 2000, Guru Bao established the Mysyana Retreat Center in accordance with the teachings of his root teachers, Nyushuk Kham Rinpoche and Shadral Rinpoche, who practiced the retreat as a way to renounce birth and death. Later, in the United States, Malaysia and other countries and regions, retreat centers and ashrams were established one after another.
Over the past 22 years, the Mysa Dharma Retreat Center has been:
1. Provide free long-term (3 years and 6 months, and there are still 2 people who have not left the retreat since the establishment of the retreat), medium-term (108 days to 1 year), and short-term (less than 3 months) retreats for practicing students, providing a place of refuge for practitioners who are truly seeking liberation.
2. He invited the pure and virtuous people and achievers of the major sects to come to the center to preach the Dharma, spread the Dharma of all sects, and connect the Dharma to the public.
3. To the best of his ability, he has learned, practiced and understood, and unreservedly imparted the true meaning and practical experience of the Dharma to his disciples and those who are destined to do so, so as to fit the foundation of his disciples and plant the seeds of liberation for all sentient beings.
3. Strict Discipline
Kathog Rigzin Chenpo Rinpoche strictly observes the Samaya precepts.
1. Strictly abide by the oath of the secret law, and do not break the vow to preach the law in order to cater to the public.
2. Not violating any of the teachings of the teacher who has been relied on, and not causing any displeasure to the teacher.
3. He respects his teachers and fellow Taoists, and loves him in harmony.
4. Except for giving lectures and initiations to the disciples, they only meet people at fixed times and answer some of their doubts, and most of the rest of the time is spent in retreat, meditation, or writing.
4. Prosperity of the Dharma
In order to flourish Shakyamuni’s teachings and let more people understand the true meaning of Buddhism. In addition to preaching the scriptures, Guru Bao diligently worked on the translation of the Dharma texts and devoted a lot of effort to the transmission of many tantric rituals to the world.
At the same time, he also edited and published hundreds of works related to Buddhist teachings, biographies of achievers, and commentaries on the teachings of the Dharma, leaving a valuable reference for future generations of Buddhist studies.
5. Protection and inheritance
In order to collect and organize the scattered traditions of his own sect and the secret teachings of the Supreme Vajrayana, Kathog Rigzin Chenpo Rinpoche traveled all over the world, visiting great masters of this tradition, descendants of some past benefactors, collectors, major libraries in the world, etc., and made an indelible contribution to the restoration and revitalization of the tradition and teachings.
6. Protecting the Dharma
Guru Bao has always made it his responsibility to carry the family business of Nyorai, and in addition to prospering and spreading his own lineage, he has also helped other lineages to collect and organize the teachings and continue the lineage.
In addition, he also supported the construction of some monasteries, and restored the construction of many relics and stupas of past achievers.
7. Do not seek fame or wealth
Guru Bao is far away from the eight winds of the world, he is indifferent to fame and fortune, does not pursue fame and fortune in the world, and refuses some social positions.
He does not publicize it, and even though he is honored by many great virtues and accomplished people, he does not show it to the public. He said, “If there is no growth in one’s own meditation, it is not enough to rely on the recommendation letters or support of the achievers.” He showed by word and deed what it means to be a “practitioner.”
For money and things, he adheres to the principle of “enough is enough”, and everything comes with fate. The monastery does not have a circulation office for Buddhist supplies. The disciples gave him personal support, and he also let the people around him use all of them for the cause of propagating the Dharma and benefiting people. He advocated that the masses should “provide for the law”.
8. Be compassionate
Guru Bao is equal to all sentient beings, and in his eyes there are only “sentient beings”, there are no rich or poor, no class. As long as he sincerely seeks the Fa, no matter who it is, he will teach it with all his might. When a disciple encounters difficulties in his family life, he will definitely do his best.
Every year, he is invited to give lectures on the causes and effects of good and evil for prison inmates, and provides spiritual counseling and humanitarian care to serious offenders.
9. Be low-key and humble
Although the reincarnation of Guru Bao and the evidence of this life have been recognized by many accomplished people, although he is the guru of many lamas, or he is a master and apprentice of some great masters. But he was never on top, lived a simple life, and always walked in the world as an ordinary lama.
Rigzin Chenpo Rinpoche’s merits are too numerous to list. As a promoter of Buddhism, he follows the tradition of the ancestors and works tirelessly to promote both teaching and evidence.
The following is a compilation of the incomplete records of teachings and empowerments made public by Guru Bao over the past 10 years. It is inevitable that there will be mistakes and omissions, and here I bow down and repent to the three roots
